This piece was made by hand dying using blueberries and turmeric. Over the years the piece has faded but it won’t fade any more than this - all marks on the dyed panels are naturally occurring from the dyes.
PLEASE SEE PICTURES 4 & 5 FOR CURRENT CONDITION OF COLOUR. The pictures have been taken inside at night - if you’d like more pictures of the colours please let me know and I can accomodate!
This coat took around 80 hours to make and is one of my proudest makes. The turmeric dye was made by mixing turmeric powder with hot water and steeping for 24 hours. The blueberry dye was made by boiling blueberries in water, straining and reducing to make a vivid colour.

The outer shell is 100% wool, lining is polyester.
Please note there are no side pockets in this coat! There are patch pockets on the front.

Length from neck to hem: 110cm
Width at widest point: 90cm
Sleeve length: 40cm (dropped shoulder)
Sleeve opening: 30cm circumference
Fit:
Cocoon, drapey and oversized. Not meant to be form fitting!

This coat has been carefully stored. It is in perfect condition and has been worn for a handful of photoshoots.
This is never to be machine washed. Store away from direct sunlight and dry clean only. Ironing is perfectly fine on a medium setting.
